Experienced leadership

Jeff Fimreite, La Crosse County Board Supervisor – District 21

Jeff Fimreite now serves on the La Crosse County Board, bringing experienced, principled leadership grounded in accountability, fiscal discipline, and a lifelong commitment to public service. With more than three decades in education and administration—including roles as Superintendent, Principal, Associate Superintendent of Instruction in La Crosse, and most recently as a counselor and Literacy Lead—Jeff has consistently championed responsible budgeting, transparent decision‑making, and the wise use of resources to support students, families, and taxpayers.

Throughout his career, Jeff’s leadership has helped guide successful referendums, reduce mill rates, and strengthen fund balances while expanding opportunities for children and the broader community. He has built strong partnerships with community organizations, local governments, and state agencies to improve services and reduce costs. His approach reflects a deep belief in efficient government, smart budgeting, and common‑sense policies that respect both taxpayers and the needs of the community.

Jeff’s commitment to civic life extends well beyond education. He has served on local boards, Rotary, Lions, and various foundations, contributing to community well‑being in practical and meaningful ways. He continues to serve on the Lake Onalaska Rehabilitation Coalition Board, where he advocates for environmental stewardship and responsible land use. His focus remains on practical, actionable solutions that strengthen county infrastructure, protect natural resources, and ensure that La Crosse County remains a place where families can thrive.

Now elected to represent District 21, Jeff is committed to serving with integrity, fiscal responsibility, and strong community values. His work on the County Board is centered on building a more accountable, forward‑looking La Crosse County, one that supports families, strengthens local communities, and protects the natural assets that make this region special.
